ILO Internship in Enterprise Development and Green Jobs
Within the DWT/CO-Moscow team, the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Senior Specialist leads and coordinates the delivery of evidence-based policy advice, tools and methods in the area of enterprise development, climate change, green jobs and just transition in the countries covered by DWT/CO-Moscow. The area of work measures and monitors the employment and decent work methods on climate change and sustainable development policies, promoting green jobs, the implementation of the ILO 2023 Resolution and Conclusions on Just Transition, and capacity development of ILO staff and constituents in the area of enterprise development and climate change.
The intern will be integrated in the team of the area of work and will be supervised by the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Specialist based in Moscow. The incumbent will develop their activities mainly in the area of enterprise development and green jobs-just transition. S/he will have the chance to extend their knowledge and experience by collaborating with other technical specialists. The intern can, therefore, expect to become involved in tasks outside of his/her specialist area, thereby gaining wider insights into the workings of the ILO Moscow office and the ILO, and learning about the importance of cross-cutting issues, including gender and social dialogue. The internship will be provided with the opportunity of developing applied desk research and data analysis skills.
Required profile
Education
Area of studies: economics, statistics, social sciences and/or a related field.
Applicant should currently follow a course of study (last year of Master degree or above), or have completed studies within 12 months prior to this application.
Experience
Some relevant work or internship-related experience in the compilation of economic, environment and labour market statistics and research and quantitative analysis of labour markets and/or related area(s) would be an advantage.
Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and statistical software such as Stata or SPSS.
Languages
Excellent written and spoken English; working knowledge of Russian would be an advantage.

Selection process:
If shortlisted, you may be contacted by the field office for a written test and/or interview. The ILO may use communication technologies such as Skype, Video or teleconference, e-mail, etc for the assessment and evaluation of candidates.
Stipend:
As an intern in the field, you will receive a monthly stipend from the ILO based on the cost of living in the area of the duty station, unless you receive funding through another institution (for example your university or a foundation). If you receive partial funding, ILO will cover the difference to ensure you receive the appropriate stipend per month. Your travel to the duty station will be at your own expense.
