IFC is seeking Investment Analysts to support investment teams to develop new business, execute transactions and actively manage portfolio projects in any of the following industry areas: Financial Institutions; Infrastructure and Natural Resources; Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services; and Telecommunications and Venture Capital. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is the largest multilateral provider of financing for private enterprise in emerging markets. IFC provides loans, equity, structured finance and risk management tools as well as advisory services to build the private sector in developing countries. IFC invests in private sector projects that are financially and economically viable and have a substantial development impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Create and analyze financial models, demonstrated project finance modelling experience will be a plus.
•  Review and analyze historical and projected financial statements.
•  Conduct industry, integrity (KYC) and market research and assist in IFC’s business development efforts.
•  Elaborate pitchbooks and proposals for clients.
•  Review company information and prepare reports on periodic financial statements, project progress reports, and other information submitted by clients.
•  Prepare any necessary documentation for internal processes, including quarterly IRPs, valuations, and any other required documents.
•  Participate and support in the structuring of new transactions and investment negotiations.
•  Participate in the active monitoring of investments in portfolio companies, including monitoring of compliance with IFC financial, environmental, insurance and legal requirements.

Selection Criteria for the Investment Analyst Recruitment at International Finance Cooperation

•  Bachelor’s or MBA/Masters/CFA in a related field and at least of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Related fields of education include business, finance, or economics or an area of expertise specific to a sector, subject matter, or industry specialty. Relevant experience could include a proven track record in business consulting or investment banking, or operational experience in the sector or technical or professional field.
•  Ability to conduct market and industry research and analysis.
•  Ability to analyze and synthesize debt pricing benchmarks and equity trading comparable.
