UNDP Promoting Tolerance and Respect for Diversity Internship Background
Working in UNDP Country Office in Thailand and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager – SDG Localization together with the Youth and Social Innovation Officer. The intern’s role will encompass operational support, contributing to UNDP Thailand Country Office’s initiatives to promote tolerance, respect for diversity, and good governance. Key responsibilities include research and data analysis, reporting, document management, and coordination.

Required Skills and Experience |
Requirements and Qualifications Education: Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: Currently enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master’s or higher) in political science, international relations, social sciences, anthropology, economic development, development studies, human rights, or related fields. Currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme in political science, international relations, social sciences, development studies, human rights, or related fields. Hold a Master’s degree and must commence the internship within one year of graduation. Field of study: political science, international relations, social sciences, development studies, human rights Experiences: Knowledge and experience on Thai politics, human rights and social inclusion. Prior experience working with academic, or government institutions is an advantage. Previous experience working with civil society organizations is an advantage. Language skills: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) along with native-level fluency in Thai is required. IT skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other digital productivity tools is essential. INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS UNDP will not pay interns for internship but will provide a stipend in the amount of THB 8,302.50 monthly in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP internship policy; all other expenses connected with it will be borne by me or my sponsoring Government or institution; UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness or death incurred during the internship; Interns are not eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in UNDP during the period of the internship; Interns must provide proof of enrolment in health insurance plan; Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity; Interns are expected to work full time, but flexibility is allowed for education programmes; Interns need to obtain financing for subsistence and make own arrangements for internship |
