Conditions and benefits of the Early Careers Program (ECP)

  • Full-time onsite employment duration of 6 months with the World Economic Forum New York office
  • We are flexible to accommodate start dates between September 1 and October 15 2023
  • Monthly gross compensation of USD $4000
  • All required technological equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and accesses
  • This program is not eligible for relocation support

ECP – Financial and Monetary Systems

The Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems provides an independent and impartial platform to design and develop a more sustainable, resilient, trusted, and accessible financial system that reinforces long-term value creation and economic growth. The Centre has several ongoing projects and communities that aim to build financial systems leadership and resilient financial systems.

Reason for hiring

We are looking for a strong early careers program (ECP) candidate to provide ongoing research support and analysis to work related to a number of initiatives and communities. This support would be provided to colleagues working on these initiatives in the US and China.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Project management: Provide day-to-day management of an initiative, or elements of an initiative, e.g., structure and help drive the delivery of workshops or sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Community management: Support the development, curation, and operation of the various communities in the Centre. This will include helping with onboarding new community members, managing communications and providing other administrative support. 
  • Research/Content Curation: Undertake research as required for initiatives, including quantitative and qualitative analysis. Support the curation of impact stories from the Centre’s initiatives, help develop initiative websites and other marketing collateral.
  • Stakeholder development: support the Financial and Monetary System strategic alignment with other Centres and Industry’s at the Forum. Maintain close collaboration with stakeholder teams such as the business engagement team, public engagement team, and sustain effective communication with partners and other institutional entities.
  • Operation: support the team’s operational success by helping with running workshops / meetings, managing communications with communities and working groups, working collaboratively with the team coordinators and providing other administrative support as required.

Preferred qualification and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or international affairs (Master’s preferred)
  • 1+ years of internship/professional experience in financial services, research or management consulting

  • Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starting, flexible, team-minded attitude, and solution driven mindset
  • Strong implementation and follow through, advanced communication skills with excellent writing examples

Vaccination requirement

The Forum LLC requires that employees be fully vaccinated with at least one booster against COVID-19 by their first day of employment. The Forum will evaluate all requests for accommodation/exemption from this policy in keeping with federal, state, and local law.
