- Senior Associate, Development
The Senior Associate, Development, Girl Up will be responsible for maintaining and growing the institutional donor pipeline at all phases including research/prospect identification, solicitation, and stewardship with guidance from the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy. The Senior Associate, Development reports to the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy Girl Up and is responsible for Girl Up’s institutional gift development effort, focused on maximizing and growing revenue from private foundations, public trusts, and corporate and family foundations to realize the mission, vision, and strategic imperatives of Girl Up. The annual revenue goal for this position is $500,000 in partnership with the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy.

- Bachelor’s degree required. 3-5 years professional experience; including at least 2 years of fundraising and relationship management experience preferred.
- Entrepreneurial – willing to try new approaches and refine when needed.
- Commitment to Girl Up’s mission and core values.
- Proven ability to reach and/or exceed an annual revenue goal in partnership with superiors.
- Knowledge and understanding of foundation grant process, including grant writing and reporting.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service and motivation to partners.
- Excellent teamwork and time-management skills including internal communication skills; ability to maintain a stabilizing presence when confronted with conflicting demands.
- Proven track-record of building and maintaining relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Interest in and passion for global development and international affairs, especially regarding women and girl issues.
- Knowledge of relationship management (CRM) systems like Salesforce.
- Strong written communications skills with the ability to engage a wide range of individuals including high-level executives, high – net worth individuals, Executive Directors, and Foundation Boards.
- Self-starter and ability to work across multiple departments and with a range of people.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, fun and team oriented.

Position Overview
The Associate, Training & Learning, Girl Up will advance the design and the successful implementation of STEM for Social Good programming, Climate Change, and Sports for a Purpose programming with oversight. The Associate, Programs & Impact works closely with public and private sector partners and represents Girl Up in those spaces.
The Associate, Training & Learning, Girl Up is a member of the Training & Learning stream within the Girl Up Program Team and will report to the Manager, Training & Learning, Girl Up. The Associate, Training & Learning, Girl Up will collaborate across Girl Up’s other departments, including Development, Communications and Global Operations.

- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years work experience in youth engagement and/or organizing required; additional experience with event management and/or international youth programs preferred

- Acute eye for detail and superb organizational skills
- Strong customer service experience – via written, phone, and in-person
- Experience in supporting multiple projects concurrently and balancing completing deadlines and tasks
- Strong commitment to multicultural experiences and girls’ issues
- Demonstrated interest in girls’ access to STEM; background in STEM fields preferred
- Strong written and verbal communications skills to engage a wide range of individuals, including female youth supporters, business professionals, and partners
- Strong skills working in teams and across many types of organizational structure – collaborator; problem solver; relationship-builder; and strong inter-personal skills
- Commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive workplace
- Experience working with diverse and multi-cultural populations preferred
- Stress tolerance, resilience and ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of relationship management systems like Salesforce preferred
- Working fluency in a second language such as Spanish, French, or Arabic, preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40%)
