- Associate Investment Officer – Bangladesh
The Asia Pacific team is seeking a high performing Associate Investment Officer with significant market and transaction experience to work as part of the Asia Pacific team on the South Asia program, and other areas as needed and may be requested from time to time by the Asia Pacific Manager and the South Asia Hub Leader. He/she will support the regional team and management with the PPP transaction process of IFC acting as Lead Transaction Advisor.
Selection Criteria
• MBA or equivalent qualification;
• Solid and relevant experience, a minimum of five years in the infrastructure/PPP industry, gained in a financial or advisory institution either in project finance, corporate finance, M&A and privatizations, or private equity funds in infrastructure;
• Knowledge of overall industry sector trends and experience in infrastructure transactions/PPPs in South Asia, with a proven track record;
• Strong financial modeling skills and knowledge of finance;
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently;
• Good presentation skills, both written and oral;
• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice and frequently, as required; and
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
• Ability to work with teams in multiple transactions, delivering high quality work within deadlines, and to meet team objectives.

- Associate Investment Officer = Senegal
The Financial Institutions Group (FIG), one of IFC’s industry departments, supports projects in numerous financial sub sectors, partners with local financial institutions, develops domestic and regional equity and debt markets and introduces new financing instruments. The goal is to develop efficient financial systems that will increase financial inclusion and fuel economic growth in client countries and enhance IFC’s developmental impact. FIG is recruiting an Associate Investment Officer to join the Investment Team, which originates, manages and monitors IFC’s financial sector investments across Africa. The Associate Investment Officer will report to the FIG Regional Industry Manager covering West and Central Africa (WCA).
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, preferably in an investment-related function and/or the private equity industry.
• Good understanding of financial and operational characteristics of financial institutions.
• Clear experience and expertise in identifying, evaluating, structuring and negotiating debt and equity transactions; experience in portfolio management.
• Experience in emerging FinTech platforms and technologies such as digital banking, mobile payments, digital lending, InsurTech etc. a plus.
• Strong interest in innovative, disruptive solutions for the financial services industry.
• Sound business judgment and strong problem solving/negotiation skills, as well as ability to work effectively on simultaneous projects under time pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
